Returning to Myself: Why I Started Vibe Interiors

After every big project comes that quiet exhale — the moment when the noise fades and you can finally hear yourself again.
For me, that moment came after The Case Conference.

For months, I was fully immersed in planning and marketing something bigger than myself, something that connected, inspired, and uplifted our design community. It filled me up in ways I can’t even explain. But once the lights dimmed and the excitement settled, I realized how long it had been since I had truly paused.

I made a promise to myself to slow down. To take time for stillness, for laughter, for unstructured creativity. To remember why I started Vibe Interiors in the first place.

Vibe wasn’t born from a love of trends or even from a desire to decorate. It was born from a need for peace. Years ago, I was in a season that felt uncertain and heavy. Like so many of us, I was carrying responsibilities and expectations that left little space for joy. My home became my sanctuary. Rearranging a room, adding warmth with color, or simply letting in natural light weren’t just design choices. They were lifelines. Small ways to bring calm into the chaos.

That’s when it became clear that the spaces we live in shape the way we feel. Design isn’t just visual; it’s emotional.

My goal with Vibe has always been to create environments that heal and hold. Every client I work with has a story behind their project, sometimes spoken, sometimes quietly understood. A new beginning. A major transition. A season of rediscovery. Through design, I get to help people create peace where it’s been missing. The right color palette can soothe. Texture can ground. Negative space can give the mind room to rest.

After The Case Conference, I needed that same medicine. I needed to refill my own cup and remind myself that I’m not just a designer. I’m a person deserving of rest and renewal too. So I took time. Time to create without deadlines. To be with family and friends. To just breathe again.

That pause reminded me that design is deeply human. It’s about how we want to feel when we walk through our own doors — safe, seen, and supported.

As I return to my rhythm, I’m more grounded than ever in my “why.” Vibe Interiors was never just about beautiful rooms. It’s about helping people come home to themselves — emotionally, mentally, and spiritually. Because at the end of the day, home isn’t a place. It’s a feeling. And we all deserve to live in it.
