Still Here. Still Working. Still Grateful.

It's been a while since I've written to you here — and if you've noticed my quiet on social media lately, I want you to know something: silence is not absence. Some of the most meaningful work happens away from the feed.

The truth is, these past several months have been some of the fullest of my career. Not full in the way that looks glamorous on Instagram — full in the way that builds something lasting.

What's been happening behind the scenes

I've been in conversations. Long ones. Rich ones. The kind of conversations where a client tells me about the trip that changed how they see the world, or the way their grandmother's dining room felt on a Sunday afternoon — and suddenly we're not talking about furniture anymore. We're talking about memory. About feeling. About designing spaces that hold a life, not just decorate one.

That's always been the heart of what I do at Vibe Interiors: memory-based design. And lately, I've had the privilege of bringing it into rooms I could only have dreamed about when I started this journey.

I'm actively working on an international project alongside another talented designer — a collaboration that has stretched me creatively and reminded me how much richer the work becomes when great minds come together. I've been walking through an 11,000-square-foot commercial space here in Metro Atlanta, reimagining how a team experiences their workday.

And in the quiet hours, I've been sharpening my own tools: deepening my study of neuroaesthetics and the science of how our environments shape our wellbeing, because I believe you deserve a designer who never stops learning.

A season of reflection

There's something else I want to share, because I've always believed in showing up here honestly. I have a surgery coming up soon. And if you've ever stood at the edge of something like that, you know what it does — it quiets all the noise and asks you the real questions.

Years ago, I stood on the other side of the operating room as a surgical technician. Now, preparing to be the one on the table, I've found myself reflecting deeply on what I want my future to look like — physically, mentally, and spiritually. What am I building? Who am I becoming? Does the life I'm living match the one I've prayed for?

The answers have only reinforced what I already knew in my spirit. I want a life — and a business — rooted in purpose. I want to protect my health with the same intention I bring to a client's floor plan. I want my quiet mornings, my faith, my marriage, my creativity. And I want to keep doing this work, because designing spaces that hold people's memories is not just what I do. It's part of who I am.

So if I'm a little quieter in the coming weeks, now you know why. I'll be resting, healing, and returning with even more clarity about the vision ahead.

Gratitude, first and always

None of this happens alone. I'm grateful for the clients who trust me with their spaces and their stories — that trust is sacred to me. I'm grateful for the mentors who poured into me when I was making the leap from the operating room to the design studio, and for the community of designers who remind me that this industry is better when we lift each other. I'm grateful for my husband, my friends, and the protected quiet mornings that keep me grounded when the calendar gets loud.

And I'm grateful for you — the reader who checks in, sends the kind message, saves the post, refers the friend. You are part of this.
